Google TV Introduces New Updates Including Smart Home Controls and Streamer
Google TV has announced a series of new updates for its devices, enhancing user experience with features that include smart home controls and a new streaming device, according to blog.google.
Expanded Smart Home Controls
One of the standout features in this update is the introduction of a home panel that allows users to control compatible smart home devices directly from their Google TV. This includes managing lights, thermostats, and cameras without leaving the comfort of the couch. Additionally, new doorbell notifications enable users to see who is at the front door without pausing their current show. For those moments when the remote is misplaced, users can resort to voice commands via Google Assistant to control their devices.
New Google TV Streamer
In addition to software updates, Google is also launching the Google TV Streamer, a new device set to be available on September 24. This device aims to provide a seamless streaming experience, integrating the latest features of Google TV.
These updates mark a significant step forward in integrating entertainment and smart home functionalities, making Google TV a more versatile platform for users.
